Cable tie the Addiction Outdoors Casting Trigger to your rod butt and you have the best casting device that is available for fixed spool reel users. You will be able to cast further and cast easier with no more cuts and blisters on your fingers! When used on spinning rods this casting aid has a slick, smooth surface and allows for a cleaner release for increased distance. Using your finger instead of a release aid hinders casting performance and distance, making this a must for serious fishermen. Just hold the lever until ready to cast then simply release the lever.
To use, tie the casting trigger with the cable to the butt of your rod in a comfortable position above or behind the spool. Make sure there is space between the trigger and bale arm. You can lock the line in place by wrapping your mainline around the casting trigger nub with 2 or 3 turns. Pull the casting trigger with your finger to hold pressure and open your bale. Let go of the trigger to cast and see the extra distance come off your spool.
